Slot Machine Patterns
Once play begins, a random number generator inside the machine determines the outcome. This RNG is generating random numbers at a rate of thousands per second. When the play button is pressed, the most recent number is used to determine the result of the spin. Slots are usually programmed to pay out between 82 and 98 percent of the money wagered by the players.
There are three types of progressives with many different slot machine strategies for each, but they all share one thing on common: A small percentage of each wager on a progressive machine is used to increase the amount of the jackpot. The types of progressives differ in the number of machines linked to an individual jackpot. I have heard every kind of so called “slot tip” that you could ever imagine, each one will drain your bankroll every time because these “slot tips” are based on nothing but luck.
This type of cycle suggest to some gamblers that a slot machine may be either programmed or simply fall in intervals which lead to higher slot pay-outs. The more a machine takes in on a down cycle, the better the return is on an up cycle. So if you see someone quickly go thru say a distinct amount of money on a slot machine, with nothing good, that might be the machine to jump on in hopes to win big soon.
I have tried this many, many times, and on all types of slot machines. And it always leads me back to the same question. Is this luck or this exact science and my answer is that with the Random Number Generator it is hard to say.
I believe that at the end of the day the Random Number Generator (RNG) keeps everything pretty random and that is the end of the story. It is very hard to determine, if not impossible.
